Golden slumbers Modern listen online

The lyrics for this bedtime lullaby are taken from English writer Thomas Dekker’s poem entitled “Cradle Song” published in 1603. Paul McCartney used a few lines from this lullaby in his “Golden Slumbers” song on the Abbey Road album in 1969. This made the lullaby "Cradle Song" very popular again overnight. But the main reason to listen and to sing it, is because it's a really beautiful nursery rhyme and lullaby. Enjoy it! Listen and download Golden slumbers lullaby song on our website for free

Golden slumbers
Billi Gaines

Once there was a way to get back homeward
Once there was a way to get back home
Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby
Golden Slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I wil sing a lullaby

Once there was a way to get back homeward
Once there was a way to get back home
Sleep, pretty darling, do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby
Golden Slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles awake you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling do not cry
And I wil sing a lullaby

Oh, you're gonna carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time
Oh, you're gonna carry that weight
Carry that weight a long time
